On saturday the 8th of July we organise a hike and canoe trip in the proximity of Leuven. 

No better place to visit in summer than the beautiful park of Doode Bemde.

Picnic on a sunny terrace & Canoe back to heverlee on the Dijle river. 

We end the day with Yoga outdoors in the park of the Arenberg Castle. 

What to expect?

• Hike of 8km in the valley of the 'Dijle'
• Break in nature to enjoy our lunch
• Drink at the Shelter and home-made snack
• Canoe tour on the Dijle from Korbeek-Dijle to Arenberg Castle 
• Yoga at Arenberg Castle for the ones interested
• New friends - old friends. Lot's of fun!

 

Practical information

Where:

The hike takes place in the  'Doode Bemde' in Korbeek-Dijle.

The canoe tour starts in Korbeek-Dijle and ends at the Arenberg Castle in Heverlee. 

 

When: Saturday the 8th of July between 11am and 5pm.

 

Meeting point: We take the 11:03 train on platform 2 in Heverlee (Train direction Ottignies, where we get off the next stop in Oud-Heverlee)

You can join us also from Leuven Station or at the start of the hike. Keep in mind that the Canoe tour will end at Arenberg Castle therefore it is not soo handy to have your bike or vehicle parked elsewhere.

 

What: A guided hike of 8km in the valley of the Dijle where we will stop to eat our picknick. Afterwards we will stop for a drink at the Shelter before we embark on a canoe trip from 6,5km on the Dijle, all the way back to Arenberg castle.  

 

Price:

22 euro per person including

- Train ticket from Heverlee to Oud-Heverlee

- Guided hike

- Homemade snack

- Reservation of the Canoe trip with trustable company 

 

What to bring yourselves:

- Water

- A packed lunch. 

- A couple of euros for a drink at the Shelter

- A bikini / swimshorts 

- Slippers

- A small towel
